Note: Lotus iNotes (Webmail) is currently in beta testing mode only and is not available to the general PeopleSoft population. The pilot is currently closed and is not being expanded to include additional users. Look for communications via OneVoice regarding iNotes (Webmail) in the future.
When iNotes Web Access is launched, the customizable Welcome page will appear. The layout of the Welcome page, whether the default or customized, consists of the following:

Full month view of the calendar (left side of screen): The current date shows as well as a full current month view. Click the forward or back arrow next to the year or month to scroll forward or back a month or year.

Toolbar with different view options (above the contents of the current view): This toolbar will appear in every open view for ease in changing views. When clicking on any of the buttons in the toolbar, a drop down menu will appear with the options available. Single click on any option to open the view selected.

Special option buttons (upper right hand corner): Single click on any of the special option buttons to process that request.
- Logout: After clicking the button, to complete the logout process, click the
Y
es button when the window appears that says,
"The Web page you are viewing is trying to close the window. Do you want to close this window?" The browser itself will close.
To customize the Welcome page:
- Click the
Edit Layout... button.
- Page Layout:
- Click the down arrow and select Personal.
- Click the radio button next to the layout desired.
- Depending on the layout selected, the information for the 1 - 4 panels needs to be selected:
- Type: Click the down arrow and single click on the type of information to be displayed in that panel.
- Title: Type a title for that panel's view.
- Options: When New Mail, Quick Links or Web Page are selected for any of the panels, options need to be completed as well.
- New Mail:
- Either the newest 10 messages or all messages can be displayed. Click the down arrow and select the option preferred.
- Only Mail From: Only mail from specific people will be displayed. Click the From link to select the names from the PeopleSoft Directory or personal Contacts.
- Priority Mail Only: Click in the box so an "x" appears if only high priority messages should be displayed
- Quick Links: Links to web pages will be displayed with the names entered in the Name window. Type the name of the link in the Name window and the complete URL including http:// in the URL window.
- Web Page: A web page selected from the drop down list or manually entered will be displayed. To manually enter a web site, click the down arrow and select Other and type the complete URL including http:// in the window next to it.

NOTE: The complete web page will not appear in the panel. The window will have to be scrolled to view the entire page.
- If a web page is selected to go at the top of the Welcome page or when a single pane has been selected, a dialog box will appear that says,
"Note that some menu items may be hidden if you show a Web page at the top of the Welcome page. Click [OK] to save their layout and return them to the Welcome page. Click [Cancel} to continue the Edit Layout scene." Click either
OK to add the web link or
Cancel to make changes.

NOTE: It is
not recommended that a web page is selected for the top frame.
- Click the
Save and Close button to save the personal Welcome page.
The customized Welcome page will now load. Depending on the panel content, it may take a little longer than normal for the page to load.
