Notification about document posted or e-mail message sent in Lotus Notes containing a virus

Document number: 16136

All Lotus Notes application and mail servers are being scanned for documents and attachments that contain viruses. If a document posted in a Notes database or an outgoing e-mail message is found to contain a virus, an automatic notification is sent to the person who posted the document or sent the message. Anyone receiving this notification is responsible for cleaning the infected file to avoid spreading the virus.

NOTE: Although virus scans are being run on servers, it is ultimately the responsibility of the user to ensure that the files on their computers are virus-free. Weekly virus scans and live updates should be scheduled.
