New CSP procedure and information (Resourcers only)
Effective September 13, 2004, CSPs (Contract Service Providers) are no longer entered directly into Resource Management.
Human Resources has changed the way managers record the engagement of contingent workers (non-employees) into our Human Resources Data Base. Here's what's changing and how it will impact any manager or employee who wants to engage contingent workers. Read the complete text of the contingent workforce policy on the Procurement intranet site.
The overall process for obtaining a contingent worker has not changed, but here is a list of what has changed:
A new step has been added. The PeopleSoft sponsor (any manager or employee who wishes to engage a contingent worker) must complete an online form. This will start the process and assign a unique ID to the contingent worker in HRDB. Thus, new TIDs are no longer created in Resource Management; they are created in HRDB.
The unique ID must then be used to log a NorthStar ticket to gain system or building access, assets, and workspace for the contingent worker.
The PeopleSoft supervisor must provide on the new form a projected end date of the contingent worker's engagement. Access to systems and buildings will terminate on that date.
Contingent workers who were active on September 10, 2004, will continue to use their existing IDs for the various applications to which they have access.
Contingent workers who start on September 13, 2004, and after will receive a unique ID beginning with “T.” The unique ID tracks the contingent worker in HDRB and provides better reports of contingent-worker tenure and other information.
If your additional questions aren't answered in the Eureka! documents about Contingent Workers, please visit the Purchasing site on Planet PeopleSoft. Questions related to the online forms should be directed via e-mail to Contingent Workforce Data Management.

Use the Contingent Worker Add Form for new requests. All fields are mandatory. You will need to Establish CSP as a Resource in Resource Management once you receive notification that the CSP ID is ready.
Engagement Begin Date: use the date you request the ID.
