What kind of files does Process Modeler use?
Process modeler creates files with a .pvw extension for all models.
Gallery files (see Eureka! document 15333 — Process Modeler symbols and shapes - Gallery shapes) have a *.pvg extension.

Can I convert my existing Visio files to Process Modeler files?
At this time, you can convert Visio files to Process Modeler files manually only. There is no supported software that converts Visio files to Process Modeler files.

Can Process Modeler files be shared by simultaneous users?
No. If more than one person accesses a Process Modeler file simultaneously, the file can become corrupted and unrecoverable.

Note: Repositories will not be used within IT process modeling. When you launch Process Modeler, you can turn off the repository control by clicking the repository icon on the main toolbar:
A repository is basically a set of component models and objects stored in an "electronic library." Due to the complexity of working with this portion of the Modeler, this functionality will not be supported during the initial rollout. Some of the issues include version control of duplicate models or objects and the overwriting thereof.
