Default rules in Connected Backup

This is a Level B document - It contains moderately difficult end-user information.

By default, Connected Backup backs up certain files. To make sure you have the file with the correct default information in it, follow these steps:

Open My Computer.
Click on the View menu and then choose D etails. This will allow you to see more information on the files in this directory.
Navigate to c:\Program Files\Connected.
In that directory, look for DefRules.DAT

If you have hidden the extensions on your files, it may just show up as "DefRules" without the ".dat".

Right-click the file and choose P roperties.
The Modified: date for the file should be January 28, 2000 (1/28/2000).
If the files are as described in the step above, you have the correct default files. You do not have to do anything else.
If the files are not as described, right-click on this file: DefRules.dat .
Choose Save target As....
Navigate to c:\Program Files\Connected.
Click Save.
You will be asked "C:\Program Files\Connected\defrules.dat already exists. Do you want to replace it?" or you will be asked "Choose Yes.
When the pop-up screen shows "Download complete", click Close.
