Document number: 15223

Note: These steps currently apply to legacy PeopleSoft employees only. Legacy J.D. Edwards employees are receiving this package via SMS. See Eureka! document 15385 — Connected software installation for legacy J.D. Edwards employees for more details.

The instructions below assume that Connected TLM (Connected Backup) does not exist on the machine. If it does exist but the installation has become corrupt then make sure to uninstall the application before following the instructions below.

To install Connected TLM (Connected Backup) from the Software Library in Lotus Notes:

  1. Open Lotus Notes, then open the Software Library by clicking the bookmark link.
  2. Click on Standard Package installs.

  3. Click By Package Name.  This view will probably already be showing as it is the default view.

  4. Scroll until you see the entry for Connected Backup - User Page and double click on it to open it.

  5. Choose the correct button to install.
    • If you want a brand new installation and account on your machine, click on the section labeled Installing Connected Network Backup to open it. Then click on the button labeled Install Connected Network Backup in that section. Generally, the installation will run to completion with no information from you.
    • If you want to reuse an existing account, open the section labeled Re-Establishing a Connected Account for a User. Click the button labeled Re-install Connected Network Backup. This will establish your old account on your new machine.

The above steps will install a clean copy of Connected TLM (Connected Backup) on your machine and help you establish your account.
