How to export Microsoft Access 97 objects for Access 95 users

You can export tables, queries, and macros from Microsoft Access 97 to an Access 95 database, but only tables to Microsoft Access version 1.x and 2.0 databases. You cannot save the database as is to an earlier version. Follow these steps to export the database to another Access database:

  1. Click on the F ile menu, then on Save A s/Export...

  2. Click on the choice To an E xternal File or Database. Click OK.

  3. Choose a directory in which the other database already exists.

  4. In the File name: field, fill in the name of the database.

  5. In the Save as type: drop-down list, choose Microsoft Access.

 

The objects you export should be usable by Microsoft Access 95 users.
