PSTV is the "broadcast channel of PeopleSoft" on which PeopleSoft occasionally broadcasts live meetings so that people who cannot come to the live meeting may follow along with the proceedings from a PeopleSoft office. There are also recorded videos available about a week after the live broadcast. You can view a recorded broadcast over VPN or iPass, but not a live broadcast.

On the left side of the screen, under Planet Navigator, click the navigation arrow next to Company Resources.
Click PEOPLESOFT TELEVISION.

Live broadcasts

Because the bandwidth required for live broadcasts via PSTV is so high, live broadcasts are usually held in a shared room at a PeopleSoft site, supported by PeopleSoft IT personnel. Employees from that site are informed of the location of the room and the time of the meeting. Instructions should appear via Planet or email as to the availability and method of live broadcasts.

Live broadcasts are not viewable via VPN or iPass.

Recorded broadcasts

It may take a week or more after the live broadcast for the link to appear on the PSTV page. The events contain sound, so make sure you either use earphones or are in an area that will not disturb others when the sound portion plays.

Once you get to the PSTV page, you can click on the Recorded link to see which broadcasts are available.

If you would like to see older recorded events (February 2003 and earlier), go to http://planetx.peoplesoft.com/planet_content/metrics/index_pstv.htm.

Generally, if a geographical area is specified, such as "Americas", "Asia-Pac", or "EMEA", you should click on the link to which you are geographically closest. Those links have been optimized for playing at those locations.
