The current standard for SMS clients is the SMS 2003 Advanced Client. To check your client to ensure your machine has this version of SMS installed, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel.

2. If you have the SMS 2003 Advanced Client installed, you should see these three icons:

   • Program Download Monitor

   • Run Advertised Programs

   • Systems Management

3. If you see these three icons, your machine has the latest SMS client installed. If do not see these icons, or do not see any SMS-related icons. please log a NorthStar ticket for assistance with installing or updating your SMS client.
