How to prevent calendar entries from appearing in the All Documents view in Lotus Notes

Document number: 12085

By default, all calendar entries are displayed in the All Documents view in the mail file. Although they do not take up much space in the mail file, they do make the All Documents view much larger.

Note: If this preference is not selected, when archiving from the All Documents view, if the original entry (parent) for a repeating meeting is selected for to be archived, all instances of the meeting will be archived and the meeting will be removed from the calendar.

To change the default so that calendar entries do not show in the All Documents view:

  1. Open the Lotus Notes calendar.

  2. Click the Tools button and select Preferences... from the drop down list.

  3. Click the Display tab.

  4. Don't display Calendar entries in the All documents view of Mail: Click in the box so that an "x" appears.

  5. Click OK.

New calendar entries will not appear in the All Documents view of the mail file.
