PeopleSoft Pure Internet Architecture (PIA) - Application Changes - New Functionality

There are several new features to the PeopleSoft Pure Internet Architecture (PIA) that increase end user productivity and improve their PeopleSoft experience. These features include:

Page Customizations: This feature enables users to tailor their transaction pages to specific business processes and personal data entry style. A Customize Page option is available for most PIA pages. This developer-configured setting offers users the options to:
- Control the initial page display, such as which page in a component to display first or whether to save the state of expanded/collapsed sections or View All settings for a grid or scroll area.
- Change the tabbing order of page elements so the fields they enter most often are the first ones they tab into.
- Copy, share, and delete all page customization settings.
Grid Customization Sharing: The existing grid customization page has been enhanced to give users the ability to share their customization settings with other users or to copy and use the customizations created by another user.
Copy URL: This developer-configured option is available within a pagebar that displays with the Help and New Window links below the universal navigation header in PIA. This feature copies the current page URL to the clipboard so that it is available for pasting in emails or other applications. The copied URL includes page, action, and search key information to display in the context of the portal if the user passed through the portal. If the user did not pass through the portal, then the system displays the page only without the portal frames.

Crystal Reports for PeopleSoft

Crystal Reports 8.5 has been upgraded to Crystal Reports 9. This new version offers several enhancements, such as a greater number of concurrent server processes and Improved export to Microsoft Excel.

PS/nVision

Stability, reliability and administration have all been improved in PS/nVision.

Make sure the output is not set to File when running nVision reports. Output should be set to Web.
