C1 Filters
You can use filters to narrow your search when looking up a record in Customer1. The information you filter by determines the records displayed in your list. For example, suppose you want to display a list of all active opportunities that have a Total Contract Value between $300,000 and $500,000. First, personalize your filters to display the list of available fields by which you want to filter. Use the
Personalize Filters link to select specific fields that you want to make available as a filtering option.
To filter, enter the search criteria and click the
Filter button. You can also save your filter criteria for future use by clicking the
Save icon (this is described in the next section). Use the
Clear button to remove filter criteria. If your search does not return the results that you expect, you may have hidden a search field that contained search criteria when you personalized the filters. To correct this, click the
Clear button, reenter your search criteria, and click the
Filter button.
Keep in mind that the filters on the List pages are case-sensitive. For example, if you want to search for all opportunities of Robert Stark, you have to enter Stark rather than stark in the sales user field.
Save Filter Criteria
With Customer1 8.4 you can save frequently-used search criteria. To save your filter search criteria follow the process outlined below:
Since setting up these searches can initially take a little extra time, you may want to save your filtered searches. To execute a saved search follow the process outlined below:
Your results are displayed in the grid.
Advanced Filters
Advanced filters offer increased capability to search fields within certain pages in Customer1. The advanced operators include:
These operators are available on most of the component search pages and on the Campaign, Leads List, Opportunity List, and Forecasting Summary pages. Use of these operators can be a little confusing. Please see the context below for clarification.
The table below describes how each operator is typically used. The first column lists the operators that are available. The second column describes the functionality of the operator. The third column states if the operator can be used with a wildcard, such as the % sign.
| Operator | Function | Accepts Wildcards |
| = | Field Value EQUAL TO Value | NO |
| not= | Field Value NOT EQUAL TO Value | YES |
| < | Field Value LESS THAN Value | YES |
| <= | Field Value LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO Value | YES |
| > | Field Value GREATER THAN Value | YES |
| >= | Field Value GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO Value | YES |
| begins with | Field Value EQUAL TO Value % | YES |
| between | Field Value
>= Value #1
AND
Field Value <= Value #2 Sample Input: "100 and 200" Returns: All records between 100 and 200 |

Text Entry Filter Fields
Text entry filter fields are search fields where the user can enter alphanumeric text to be used in the search. All Operands operate according to the chart. If a wildcard character is populated for an operand that does not accept wildcards, the entry is evaluated as a literal character.
The text above the filter section gives specific instructions with regard to text entry filters. For text entry fields the wildcard, %, cannot be used with the operators =, or in.
To filter on multiple criteria, separate entries with a comma. For example, you can use the in operator to search for multiple companies. To do so, place a comma after each value for which you are searching.
If you us an apostrophe in the search criteria, the apostrophe will be ignored.
All operands work with text entry filters but the operands that are best used for text entry filters are:
Please be aware that ID fields, such as Lead ID, are text fields, not numeric fields. Because of this you cannot use the between operator. For example, the search on Lead ID between LED100 and LED200 will not return leads with Lead ID's LED101 - 199.
Numeric Entry Filter Fields
Numeric entry filter fields are search fields where the usercan enter numeric text to be used in the search. All operands are available but begins with and contains are evaluated the same as =. Wildcards are not allowed for numeric fields and are not accepted by the application.
Operands to use with numeric entry filter fields:
Date Prompt Filter Fields
Date prompt filter fields are search fields that have the associated PeopleSoft calendar prompt. Date prompt filter fields work similarly to numeric entry filter fields work.

Lookup Prompt Filter Fields and Drop Down Filter Fields
Lookup prompt filter fields are fields that have the associated PeopleSoft lookup icon .
Drop down filter fields are fields that have the associated PeopleSoft dropdown icon .

In Operand - Non Text Entry Fields
With the in operator in a non-Text Entry field, an additional box populates with two icons. Use this box to insert the search criteria when more than one value is to be searched on.
