Virtual Sales User/Lead Assignment Matrix
A virtual sales user is the mechanism for lead catchers to assign leads. When creating a new lead, lead management places the virtual sales user name in the lead Owner field. A lead catcher then filters for leads that are assigned to the virtual sales user that corresponds to them, and assigns the leads to the appropriate sales reps. If the lead is assigned to the wrong sales rep, the sales rep must reassign the lead to the appropriate virtual sales user for reassignment.
Virtual sales user names are set up based on region, industry, product or service interest, and company type. For example, a lead in the Central United States, where the product interest is E&G, and is a prospect company would be assigned to the virtual sales user of 'E G Central, License Rep'. Use the Lead Assignment Matrix (see below) to determine the correct Virtual Sales User.
