How to Supersede an Update in ICE
To supersede an update, you must first make the current update unavailable so customers cannot obtain it. Next, create a new incident(s) on the ICE report for the same product(s) as covered by the update to be replaced. Create a new resolution, associate it with the new incident(s), and develop as usual. Post the new update as usual, then return to the bad update and choose the posting action Supersede. To do this, you must enter the number of the superseding resolution, which is the one you just posted. After taking this action, any customer attempting to go directly to the superseded resolution is redirected.
