How to log in to the Interaction Client

Document number: 11358

To log in to the Interaction Client for the first time:

  1. Go to Start, Programs, Interactive Intelligence. Click on Interaction Client to launch the program and open the login window.

  2. Enter your network username in the User Id section, and the default I3 password, password (all lowercase).

Note: Your Interaction Client username must be exactly the same as your Customer1 User ID, which is also your Single Sign-on network user ID.

Note: For security reasons, managers and super users have differing individual passwords. Coordinate with your manager or enter a NorthStar ticket to have your password changed.

  3. In the Station or Phone Number section, enter the complete phone number to which your calls should be delivered. This can be any phone number, such as your office, your home, or even your mobile phone. For example, if you are working in your PeopleSoft office, enter your PeopleSoft PeopleNet internal phone number. This number consists of a 6, your three-digit prefix based on your regional office location, and your own four-digit office extension. (To determine your PeopleNet extension, click here: http://planetx.peoplesoft.com/it/telecomm/z/Pnetdialing.htm)

Note: Dashes, slashes, spaces, or special characters are not allowed.

    Americas Examples:
    62041234 (Denver)
    67741234 (Pleasanton)
    68321234 (Teaneck)
    62721234 (Sao Paulo)
    68261234 (Vancouver)

    Asia/Pacific Examples:
    67931234 (Sydney)
    68651234 (Tokyo)
    67461234 (Singapore)

    European Examples:
    66381234 (Amsterdam)
    672711234 (Paris)
    65661234 (London)

If you are working from some other location, be sure to include the entire phone number where you want to receive your calls. The number must be preceeded by the outdial number 9, and must include all necessary zeroes, ones, area codes, and country codes where applicable when the server dials from Pleasanton. Simply put, enter the outdial digit, and then enter the phone number just as if you were to dial it into a phone to make the call yourself. Again, no dashes, slashes, spaces, or special characters are allowed.

    Examples:

94621234 for a local Pleasanton number, where 9 is the outdial number
913031234567 for a North America number, where 9 is the outdial number and 303 is an example of an area code.
9011441234567891 for a non-North America country where 9 is the outdial number, 011 is the code for international dialing and 44 is a sample country code.

  4. The server name should already be populated. The default server name is PSH-i3cti-03.

Note: During periods of downtime, you may be prompted to log into backup servers PHS-i3cti-04 or DEN-i3cti-01.

  5. Click OK.

Note: If you experience any difficulty with your remote login, submit a NorthStar ticket with the problem type CTI.
