The Filter Criteria section enables you to limit which records display on a list page.

Criteria for filtering records

You can filter records based on two types of criteria:

Particular values for attributes in the columns of the record list - for example, only display an interaction list with Type of Note.
Categories of records - for example, on the opportunity list page, you can decide whether to include unassigned opportunities or just those assigned to you.

Using Personalize Filters

The Personalize Filters link enables you to select specific fields that you want to make available as a filtering option.

To use the Personalize Filters, follow these steps:

Click the Personalize Filters link to display the fields available as filtering options.
A list of the available filters will appear with a check box to the left of the filter name.
If you would like a filter to be available, click on the box next to the filter name. A check will appear in the box.
If you do not want a particular filter to be available, uncheck the box by clicking the checked box next to the filter name.
Once done checking and unchecking the checkboxes, click on the OK button to make the changes effective.

How to use Filters

Enter values in the fields shown under the Filter Criteria section.
Click the Filter button. This would limit your results to those that meet the filter criteria.
Use the Clear button to clear all values in the Filter fields.

Note: When you click on the Clear button, not all fields and checkboxes will be cleared. Certain default values will remain especially for the checkboxes. The default values vary depending on the User Profile of the User.
