Always search Customer1 to see if a lead exists before creating a new one.
A duplicate lead is when a lead is created for a campaign, wave, company, and
representative and when a lead for the same already exists.
- Navigate to Sales and select Leads, then
Lead List.
- Click on the Add a New Lead button.
- Under the General Info tab, enter the Company Name (required).
Option 1: If you use the Search for Company
icon to the left of the Company Name field, you will search for the company
in Customer1 only. If the Company record does exist (returns in the search
results), click on the Company’s Name hyperlink to
select the record. If the company is not found, click the Cancel
button and you will return to the General Info tab.
Option 2: If you use the Add button (to
the right of the Search for Company icon), you will go to the Lead-Add
New Company page. Click the Search button and a
listing of companies should appear.
a. If the company is listed on the C1 results list, select
it by clicking the check box icon to the left of the company
name.
b. If no match found in C1, click the No Match Found
button on the Lead-Add New Company page to initiate a OneSource
look-up.
If the company is returned on the OneSource search results page, select it
by clicking the green arrow button to the left of the company
name. You will return to the Lead - Add New Company Page.
Click the Create Company button. Valid OneSource
ID & Company ID will be populated.
OR
If there is no match found in OneSource, click the No Match Found
button and you will return to the Lead - Add New Company
page. Enter the company address (type Address Line 1 and
the Postal Code and click the Address Lookup
button). Enter the SIC (required) and other available data
(annual revenue and/or employee total). Click the Create Company
button, and the company is created. A temporary OneSource ID indicates that
this company (and associated data) was not found in OneSource. The company
ID is also populated.
c. Now you are back to the Lead General Info
tab.
- Enter as much information as you have into the remaining business required
tabs and fields:
· General Info – Rating, Timeframe, Project
· Products – product group, revenue type ID
· Address
· Representative – First Name, Last Name, Work
Phone, Email Address, Title
· Tasks – Lead Result, tasks section
· Marketing - Lead Source, Lead Type, Campaign, Wave,

· Fulfillments
- Update the Lead Result to the appropriate value.
- Save the Lead.
