How to retrieve files from Connected software

Document number: 11233

To select the files you want to retrieve, select the Retrieve View tab in your Connected software. Then select an option as follows:

A green check mark in the box next to a file indicates the file should be included in the retrieval. Clicking in the box next to each file toggles it from blank (which means it won't be included in the retrieval) to containing the green check mark. In other words, to back up a file that has a blank box next to it, click on that box and it will put a green check mark in the box, thereby selecting the file for retrieval. On the other hand, to deselect a file that has a green check mark next to it, click on the check mark and it will remove the check mark so that the file will not be retrieved.

When you have selected the files you want to retrieve:

  1. Click the Retrieve Now button.

  2. Select your retrieve preferences, and click OK.

It may take some time for the retrieval process to work. If it does take a long time, do not kill the process and then immediately restart. Doing so may prevent further attempts to restore files to fail. Wait at least 15 minutes and then try again. Peak usage times for the Pleasanton server tend to be in the early morning in Pleasanton, and early evening (around 5:00-6:00 pm, Pleasanton time).
