How to forward mail in Lotus Notes

Document number: 10088

You can send a copy of any Notes document, including a mail message, to any user listed in the PeopleSoft Directory. When you forward a document, Notes inserts the text into the body field of a new memo. You can enter additional information or comments.

To forward a mail message or Notes document:

  1. Select or open the document you want to forward.

  2. Click on the Forward action button.

  3. The To:, cc: and bcc: fields are not automatically filled in when forwarding a message. You need to add the recipient addresses. The Subject: field contains the same text as the original message you received.

  4. Enter any text or additional comments in the body of the message.

  5. Click Send.

If you are unable to forward the message, it could be that the sender selected the Prevent copying tool in Delivery Options... when composing the message. Prevent copying only allows you to reply to a message. For information about the Prevent copying tool, see Eureka! document 16005 — Unable to copy, forward or reply with history to email in Lotus Notes.
